The Seven Spirits of God (I)

Isa. 11: 1-3, 10

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: and the spirit of the LORD shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears.”

The spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord – these are the seven spirits of God.

Mark 10: 47; Rev. 5: 6

It is the completeness of these spirits that we call the fullness of the Spirit.

You cannot have dominion until the spirt of the Lord rests upon you. The spirit of the Lord is the spirit of lordship – it gives you the capacity to rule and dominate. Dominion is no longer a slogan, it becomes a part of you when you have the spirit of the Lord in and around you.

This spirit gives mastery over issues. When the spirit of the Lord comes upon you, faith is always in full play. The spirit of the Lord just takes over and you gain audacity – the kind of audacity that made Samson face a lion with bare hands.

Kings and prophets operate by this spirit.

Judges 14: 6; I Sam. 10: 6 – Prophecy comes through the spirit of the Lord.

You need this spirit to remain cautious. Joshua 1: 9. Wisdom gives you direction – Luke 2: 40.

The word of knowledge tells you the problem but the word of wisdom gives the solution; however the word of wisdom is different from the spirit of wisdom. The spirit of wisdom just pushes you to do things unplanned.

The spirit of wisdom gives you direction, excellence, it impacts wealth. When you operate this spirit, you don’t force things, they just flow.
