Principles Guiding Doing Good Work

Principles Guiding Doing Good Work

John 9: 4

“I must work…” are the words that begin that verse. Everyone must do something.

Eph. 4: 28 – “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs.”

A legal transaction for profit making is a must for all – Good work is legal work; there is profit in it, and it takes us above lack.

I Thess. 4: 11 – “And that you study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.”

Labour with your hands – the job you get with your body will need to be sustained with your body.

Psa. 1: 3 – “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

When there is a will in you to work, you will know what to do!

Principles Guiding Doing Good Work

  1. Follow your potential and passion.
  2. Train and retrain yourself. Eccl. 10: 15. Whatever field you have chosen, improve yourself regularly, compete with your past achievements. Do not just increase in size and weight, increase in knowledge.
  3. Be diligent in whatever you do, even as a salary earner! When your services are inconsistent, that is your business or organization you are working for crashing. Prov. 22: 29; Rom. 12: 11 – Do not be slothful in business.
  4. Make wise associations. Psa. 1: 1-3
  5. Do business with integrity. Prov. 11: 1, 26
  6. Break evil foundations on your business.
  7. Practice the covenant – be a giver, help people, be a tither, pray over your business regularly.

I pray for you this week,

God will prosper the works of your hands.

God will increase and comfort you on every side!
